Job summary

ERM is seeking an Environmental Field Manager to oversee environmental compliance during the construction phase of a transmission project in Northern Nevada and Southern Idaho. This full-time 18-month role requires extensive travel and an ability to work 60–72 hours per week in remote locations, with potential extension beginning in March 2026.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree preferred, or equivalent environmental inspection or monitoring experience.
• Minimum 6+ years environmental inspection, monitoring, or permitting experience on linear or energy infrastructure projects, western US preferred.
• Electric Transmission experience required.
• BLM lands experience required.
• Ability to travel extensively and work 40–70+ hours per week in remote Nevada/Idaho locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily environmental monitoring implementation on site.
• Coordinate with construction contractor and monitor crews.
• Report to client representative and maintain daily communication with agency staff.
• Track construction activities to forecast monitoring requirements.
• Oversee field inspectors and ensure timely environmental data collection and reporting.
• Verify that work areas and access roads are properly marked; coordinate with agency officials.
• Lead training for construction personnel on environmental requirements.
• Review project documents and provide direction on environmental compliance issues.
