Job summary

ERM is seeking Environmental Inspectors to oversee environmental compliance during the construction phase of a transmission and distribution project in northern Nevada and southern Idaho. This full-time, limited-term role spans 18 months with potential extension beginning in March 2026.

The position covers field inspections, training, documentation, and coordination with agency staff and contractors, requiring strong communication, regulatory knowledge, and safety program adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent environmental inspection/monitoring experience.
• 6+ years of construction experience preferred or in environmental inspection roles.
• Experience with electric transmission projects and BLM lands.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and field data collection tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct environmental training for construction personnel.
• Perform field inspections and environmental monitoring of construction activities.
• Ensure proper marking of work areas and access locations.
• Interact with agency officials, landowners, contractors, and project members.
• Provide direction and judgment on environmental compliance issues.
