Job summary

Haley & Aldrich Inc. in Boston, MA is seeking a Staff Environmental Engineer, Environmental Scientist, or Geologist to join a technical support team on diverse projects for a variety of clients. This full-time role offers hands-on field work and data evaluation in a collaborative environment.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 0–2 years of experience with strong writing and communication skills. Travel and outdoor work are expected as part of field activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or related field.
• 0 to 2 years of related experience.
• Proficient technical writing, verbal communication, reasoning, and time management.
• Able to work independently or with minimal direction on tasks under senior staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations and assessments of soil, groundwater, surface water, etc. using approved industry procedures.
• Support site characterization with field data and monitoring results.
• Perform basic construction observation and document field testing tasks.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of activities in the field and data evaluation.
• Draft technical sections of project communications and reports.
• Assist with scopes of work and cost estimating for proposals on small- to mid-sized projects.
• Ensure work follows health and safety protocols.
