Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geoscience, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 0 to 2 years of related experience.
• Proficient technical writing, verbal communication, reasoning, and time management skills.
• Able to work independently or with minimal direction under supervision of senior staff.
• Desire to learn and grow, positive attitude, strong work ethic, resourcefulness, flexibility, and ownership.
• Familiar with environmental analytical testing and data reduction techniques for soil, water, and air.
• Strong problem-solving skills and aptitude to work with sampling equipment in the field.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software.
• Able to meet the physical requirements: lift 50 lbs., traverse rough terrain, outdoor conditions.
• Able to travel to work locations with overnight stays.
• Able and willing to perform fieldwork at least 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations and assessments of soil, groundwater, surface water, etc. using approved industry standard procedures.
• Use field results to support site characterization including subsurface explorations and monitoring well data.
• Conduct basic construction observation with QC documentation and field testing tasks.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation in the field and during data evaluation.
• Apply academic training and use computer software to perform calculations and evaluate information.
• Draft technical sections of project communications and reports.
• Assist with scope of work development and cost estimating for proposals on small- to medium-sized projects.
• Assist with collection, documentation, and organization of field data per project plans.
• Perform work in accordance with health and safety protocols.
• Demonstrate foundational safety behaviors.
• Conduct or oversee remedial system O&M and field pilot studies.
• Support project environmental data reduction and summarization.
• Support feasibility studies, remedial design, cost estimating, and permitting tasks.
