Job summary

WSP is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our Earth & Environment team in Indianapolis, IN, Fort Wayne, IN, Chicago, IL, Detroit, MI, or Valparaiso, IN. This role focuses on multimedia investigations and remediation for energy clients across northern Indiana, with substantial field work and travel.

The candidate will participate in site investigations, sampling, and coordination with laboratories and field crews, contributing to high‑quality environmental solutions and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Environmental Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Approximately 70% field work and travel with overnight stays.
• Perform environmental sampling (surface water, groundwater, soil, sediment, soil vapor, indoor air) and oversee field subcontractors.
• Complete detailed field notes and other forms of documentation.
• Collaborate in a team environment and communicate effectively with staff across multiple disciplines.
• Communicate professionally with staff, management, clients, regulators, and on-site personnel.
• Assist with project planning and coordination with laboratories, drillers, and equipment vendors.
