Job summary

WSP in the U.S. is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join the Earth & Environment team. The role involves field and office work on site investigation and remediation projects for energy clients, primarily in northern Indiana.

The position supports growth within a multidisciplinary team, with opportunities for learning, certification, and career advancement. Applicants should have a BS in Environmental Engineering and be able to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Environmental Engineering or related field is required.
• 1+ years of relevant environmental sampling, site investigation, or remediation experience.
• Must be organized and detail-oriented.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to work outside normal business hours and overnight travel.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental sampling (surface water, groundwater, soil, sediment, soil vapor, indoor air) and oversee field contractors.
• Carry out field notes and documentation of field activities and observations.
• Work in a team environment and communicate with staff across disciplines.
• Coordinate with laboratories, drillers, and equipment vendors for project planning.
• Interact professionally with staff, management, clients, regulators, and on-site personnel.
