Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join the Earth & Environment team, supporting site investigations and remediation for energy clients in northern Indiana and adjacent areas. This role involves significant field work, supervising subcontractors in the field, and coordinating with laboratories and vendors.

The candidate should have a BS in Environmental Engineering or related field, 1+ years of experience, and be able to pass a HAZWOPER certification.

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in environmental sampling, site investigation, or remediation.
• Must be organized and detail-oriented.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Flexible to work outside normal business hours and overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Approximately 70% field work and travel with overnight stays.
• Perform environmental sampling (surface water, groundwater, soil, sediment, soil vapor, indoor air).
• Oversee subcontractors in the field (drillers).
• Complete detailed field notes and documentation of activities.
• Collaborate with staff across multiple disciplines and communicate professionally with clients and regulators.
• Assist with project planning and coordination with laboratories, drillers, and vendors.
