Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Spring 2027 Co-Op in Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineering to gain real-world experience on projects benefiting communities nationwide. You will work with experienced engineers, collaborate with interns, and see engineering solutions progress from paper to field deployment.

The role offers exposure to ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel and other tools, with opportunities to join field activities and learn the full project lifecycle under supervision.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and taking courses toward a Bachelor's in Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering or related engineering field.
• Some knowledge of ArcGIS, CADD, Excel and Access is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• January to May cycle availability (January–May).
• Research and develop engineering solutions from analysis to reporting and design.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, interns, and multidisciplinary teams.
