Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) offers an environmental internship in Findlay, Ohio, providing hands-on experiences in Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (HES&S) across refining, midstream, and natural gas services. Interns collaborate with experienced professionals to support policy implementation and environmental program development.

Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science, maintain strong

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science.
Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree seeking program for duration of internship.
Strong academic performance.
Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Interpret and/or develop environmental policies and guidelines; implement and assure conformance.
Provide guidance in organizing programs, monitoring compliance, and reporting to appropriate personnel.
Design/review environmental equipment/systems; determine engineering specifications and recommend equipment.
Identify and investigate environmental problems; communicate recommendations to senior management.
Stay current with environmental legislation, regulatory actions, and international standards; prepare reports and permits as required.
Develop environmental information, manuals, training material and programs; inform employees of related policies and procedures; conduct training sessions.
