Job summary

Location is Findlay, Ohio, with responsibilities spanning refining, logistics, and environmental services.

Qualifications

• Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree seeking program for the duration of the internship experience.
• Strong academic performance.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and/or develop Company environmental policies and guidelines and develop methods and procedures for implementing and assuring conformance.
• Provide guidance and technical assistance in organizing and establishing programs and procedures to implement and administer requirements, including budget inputs, and monitor compliance with these policies in assigned areas and direct related reports and recommendations to appropriate personnel.
• Design and/or review engineering designs and cost estimates for environmental equipment/systems; and/or determine engineering specifications and recommend equipment, as required.
• Identify and investigate current and developing environmental problems or issues to determine cause and contributory circumstances; initiate steps to prevent recurrences; and provide recommendations with appropriate personnel as well as communicating to senior management.
• Keep abreast of environmental legislation, regulatory agency actions, and international standards as well as related technological and administrative developments; develop/assist with legislative and regulatory impact assessment to ensure an appropriate response by the Company to governmental proposals; submit required reports; and obtain various permits as required.
• Develop environmental information, manuals, training material and programs; inform employees of related policies and procedures; and conduct appropriate training sessions.
