Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science.
• Concurrent enrollment for duration of internship.
• Strong academic performance.
• Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
• Must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license for work-related travel.
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Available for multiple work terms preferred.
• MIN - $24.09 per hour / MAX - $43.23 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and/or develop Company environmental policies and guidelines; develop methods and procedures for implementing and assuring conformance.
• Provide guidance and technical assistance in organizing and establishing programs and procedures to implement and administer requirements; monitor compliance and direct related reports.
• Design and/or review engineering designs and cost estimates for environmental equipment/systems; determine engineering specifications and recommend equipment.
• Identify and investigate environmental problems to determine cause; initiate steps to prevent recurrences; communicate with senior management.
• Keep abreast of environmental legislation, regulatory actions, and international standards; assist with impact assessment and permit coordination.
• Develop environmental information, manuals, training material and programs; inform employees of policies and conduct training sessions.
