Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support due diligence, site investigations, remediation, and environmental compliance projects in the Baltimore, MD area, reporting to the Baltimore, Herndon, or Washington, DC offices.

The role involves planning and implementing environmental investigations, assisting with remediation, waste management, and spill/fuel storage compliance, and producing concise reports and data visualizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Civil, Sanitary, Chemical, Industrial, Agricultural, or Public Health Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant post-education experience in environmental engineering.
• Engineer in Training Certification and pursuing Professional Engineer Certification.
• Knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and compliance practices.
• Ability to coordinate with agency regulators and understand requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collect and compile environmental data from air, soil, water, and other matrices for projects and surveys.
• Assist with environmental investigations, remediation, and hazardous waste management.
• Prepare data, tables, charts, and technical reports for interpretation and presentation of findings.
• Support HASPs and site health and safety planning.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to execute projects.
