WSP Global Inc. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Sr. Environmental Engineer to join the Earth & Environment Team.

The role involves supporting environmental due diligence, site assessments, monitoring, and remediation projects within a growing organization. You will lead data collection, design remediation plans (soil and groundwater), oversee field teams, and prepare technical reports while coordinating with clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related engineering discipline.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in environmental engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in evaluating and designing modified active gas sampling and soil vapor extraction systems, including pre-design field surveys and implementation oversight.
• Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientated attitude, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
• Project management experience and capability to successfully execute project work within budget and schedule for small to medium sized projects (<$200K).
• Capable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies, including site specific Health and Safety Plans

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental assessment activities, including identifying and compiling data from diverse sample matrices (soil, soil gas, sediment, surface water, and groundwater) and contaminants (VOCs, metals, pesticides, PFAS).
• Design soil and groundwater remediation plans using technologies like soil excavation, soil vapor extraction, and enhanced bioremediation.
• Oversee and monitor local/remote teams, track budgets, labor hours, expenses, and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare data and visualizations (tables, charts, models, cross-sections) for interpretation and presentation of findings.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports describing methodologies, results, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and technical staff in a confident, professional manner.
• Exercise ethical decision-making regarding funds and resources, adhering to policies.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
