Job summary

Soap Creek Resources in Michigan is seeking an environmental professional to join the site EHS team, report to the Plant EHS Manager, and support environmental compliance activities at a large, unionized manufacturing site.

The role focuses on developing compliant processes, mentoring line personnel, and coordinating sampling and reporting to federal, state, and local agencies, with emphasis on recordkeeping and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of plant environmental experience.
• Bachelor of Science in a related technical field is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure compliance with permits and regulations.
• Coach and mentor line personnel in environmental accountabilities.
• Compile and submit required environmental reports to Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies.
• Coordinates all Environmental sampling, reporting and follow-up.
• Preparation and submission of required reports and associated recordkeeping.

Job description

Manage environmental issues, regulatory reports and permits as related with a focus on either water/wastewater/stormwater compliance or waste/SPCC/Chemical Management.

Position will be a member of the site EHS team, report into the Plant EHS Manager and support environmental compliance activities for a large, union manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities of this position include:

• Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure compliance with permits and regulation.
• Coach and mentor line personnel in the execution of their environmental accountabilities.
• Compile and submit required environmental reports to Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies.
• Coordinates all Environmental sampling, reporting and follow-up;
• Preparation and submission of required reports and associated recordkeeping.
