Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. seeks an experienced Environmental Specialist for a large union manufacturing site in Michigan. The role supports the site EHS team, ensuring regulatory compliance and robust environmental programs.

You will lead permit management, reporting, sampling coordination, and coaching of line personnel, aligning with federal, state, and local requirements to maintain compliance and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of plant environmental experience.
• Experience with permits and regulatory reporting.
• Supports environmental compliance activities for a large union manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure compliance with permits and regulation.
• Coach and mentor line personnel in the execution of their environmental accountabilities.
• Compile and submit required environmental reports to Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies.
• Coordinates all Environmental sampling, reporting and follow-up;
• Preparation and submission of required reports and associated recordkeeping.

Job description

Must have at least (2) years of plant environmental experience and a Bachelor of Science in related technical field only!

Manage environmental issues, regulatory reports and permits as related with a focus on either water/wastewater/stormwater compliance or waste/SPCC/Chemical Management.

Position will be a member of the site EHS team, report into the Plant EHS Manager and support environmental compliance activities for a large, union manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities of this position include:

• Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure compliance with permits and regulation.
• Coach and mentor line personnel in the execution of their environmental accountabilities.
• Compile and submit required environmental reports to Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies.
• Coordinates all Environmental sampling, reporting and follow-up;
