Job summary

Connectly Recruiting is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to support a large manufacturing site. The role focuses on managing environmental issues, regulatory reports, and permits with emphasis on water/wastewater/stormwater or waste/SPCC/Chemical Management.

The position reports to the Plant EHS Manager and collaborates with the site EHS team to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance and effective environmental performance.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of plant environmental experience.
• Bachelor of Science in related technical field is required.
• Experience with environmental compliance programs and regulatory reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure compliance with permits and regulation.
• Coach and mentor line personnel in the execution of their environmental accountabilities.
• Compile and submit required environmental reports to Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies.
• Coordinates all Environmental sampling, reporting and follow-up.
• Preparation and submission of required reports and associated recordkeeping.

Job description

Manage environmental issues, regulatory reports and permits as related with a focus on either water/wastewater/stormwater compliance or waste/SPCC/Chemical Management.

Position will be a member of the site EHS team, report into the Plant EHS Manager and support environmental compliance activities for a large, union manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities of this position include:

• Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure compliance with permits and regulation.
• Coach and mentor line personnel in the execution of their environmental accountabilities.
• Compile and submit required environmental reports to Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies.
