Job summary

GHD is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join the Southeast Environmental team in Atlanta. You will work with senior staff to develop your professional skills within contamination assessment and remediation, in a hybrid model with three in-office days.

The role involves field duties, sampling, reporting, and support for permit applications and design calculations, with opportunities to grow within a global engineering network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in environmental industries.
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD; OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of field duties for environmental projects, including inspection, monitoring, and construction oversight.
• Conduct environmental sampling and monitoring for various media and contaminants of concern following established procedures.
• Respond to environmental emergencies across the country to support client projects.
• Assist in preparing technical correspondence, project proposals, technical reports, work plans, and cost estimates.
• Expand on education to perform calculations in support of design of solid waste facilities and remediation systems.
• Support permit applications/renewals related to municipal solid waste facilities and contaminated sites.
