Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support a broad range of environmental projects in the Boston, MA area. The candidate will lead field programs, manage tasks on projects, and contribute to site investigations, characterization, and remediation efforts.

The position requires a PE license or eligibility, a Bachelor's in Civil/Environmental/Chemical Engineering, and about 7 years of related experience, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Experience with MCP, Superfund or other contaminated sites.

Responsibilities

• Managing tasks on large projects or phases of small projects.
• Performing surface and subsurface soil sampling and groundwater sampling.
• Field studies, research investigations, construction oversight, data interpretation and report preparation.
• Engineering design for environmental projects, including drawings, specifications, calculations, and developing operation, maintenance, and monitoring plans.
• Performing remedial construction oversight and quality control.
• Reviewing draft assessments and calculations for compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Learning project management techniques and the CDM Smith management system.
• Developing external client interaction and marketing skills.
