Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support a variety of environmental projects in the United States. The ideal candidate will have field experience at Superfund and contaminated sites, running complex programs, and preparing planning documents and reports for characterization and remediation projects.

You will contribute to CDM Smith's mission by leading tasks, performing sampling, and developing designs, while advancing toward project technical leadership or management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or FE exam within 18 months of hire.
• 5 years of related experience; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Managing tasks on large projects or phases of small projects.
• Perform surface and subsurface soil, groundwater sampling and data collection.
• Engage in field studies, investigations, construction oversight, data interpretation, and reports.
• Prepare engineering designs, drawings, specs, and operation/maintenance plans.
• Oversee remedial construction and quality control.
• Review assessments and calculations for regulatory compliance.
• Develop project management skills and client interaction capabilities.
