Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Engineer in the Boston, MA office to support a wide range of environmental projects. The ideal candidate will have field experience at MCP, Superfund and other contaminated sites, running complex field programs and preparing planning documents and reports for environmental characterization and remediation.

You will contribute to the team by managing tasks on large projects, performing sampling, data interpretation and reporting, and developing remedial plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering; PE license.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Travel frequency varies with duties.
• Equivalent experience in lieu of degree accepted.

Responsibilities

• Managing tasks on large projects or phases of small projects.
• Performing soil and groundwater sampling and other field data collection.
• Working on field studies, investigations, construction oversight, data interpretation or report preparation.
• Performing engineering design for environmental projects, including drawings, specs, calculations, and O&M/monitoring plans.
• Remedial construction oversight and quality control.
• Reviewing draft assessments and calculations for regulatory compliance.
• Learning project management techniques and the CDM Smith system.
• Developing external client interaction and marketing skills.
