Responsibilities:
  • Support air permit applications and ensure ongoing compliance with environmental regulations, including control, monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects for diverse clients, ensuring timely completion within budget and scope.
  • Estimate air emissions from industrial processes, using methods like mass-balance, engineering judgment, and emission factors.
  • Understand federal, state, and local environmental regulations such as CAA, RCRA, CERCLA, and CWA (NPDES and SPCC), and review new regulations impacting industrial clients.
  • Interpret complex regulations and assist clients in demonstrating compliance cost-effectively.
  • Produce and maintain technical documents, including engineering calculations, compliance reports, SWPPP, SPCC Plans, and submissions like Tier II, TRI, RMP, and air permit applications.
  • Conduct air dispersion modeling across various industrial operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Environmental Engineering; M.S. preferred.
  • E.I.T. encouraged.
  • 0-3 years of experience in environmental compliance and permitting under the Clean Air Act.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in analytical tasks.
