Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Environmental Data Management Specialist to deliver complex EQuIS-based solutions and manage data across projects. You will work with data managers, scientists, planners, and engineers in a collaborative, client-focused environment and contribute to data loading, tracking, and delivery while following best practices.

The role emphasizes growth in data management across all phases, with a supportive team and opportunities to impact project plans, budgets, and safety outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of environmental consulting experience
• 1+ years of environmental remediation field work
• 1+ years of data management experience, preferably using Microsoft Access, and/or EQuIS software with knowledge of EQuIS modules including Professional, EDP, SPM, Collect, and Enterprise.
• Exposure to database or programming platforms (e.g., Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Visual Studio, Visual Basic for Applications, HTML, JSON, Java/JavaScript, Python, R)
• Understanding of digital workflows from project planning to data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Implement EQuIS data management solutions with leadership support and SMEs.
• Contribute to project data management including data tracking, loading, and delivery.
• Learn and follow data management best practices.
• Develop competency to work on all phases of data management in EQuIS.
• Work in a dynamic team with data managers, scientists, planners, engineers, and technologists.
• Develop and demonstrate strong consultant attributes: team player, eager to learn, self-starter, versatile, client service oriented.
• Develop and implement project plans, assignments, and ensure product quality, on-schedule, on-budget, and safely.
