ERM is seeking a Consulting Associate, Scientist or Engineer for our Irvine, California team. You will work with experienced project managers and specialists to support environmental consulting projects across Southern California, gaining hands-on experience in due diligence, compliance, site investigations, and sustainability services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or engineering.
• 0+ years of relevant experience; internships and academic research considered.
• Ability to travel locally across Southern California and occasional overnight travel.
• Ability to perform outdoor field work and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong written/verbal communication and report-writing skills.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Draft Phase I ESA reports including site reconnaissance, historical records review, and regulatory database research per ASTM E1527-21.
• Provide technical assistance on environmental compliance, management systems, and due diligence projects.
• Support environmental due diligence and site investigations, including field work such as site inspections and sampling.
• Assist clients with environmental compliance and permitting across air, water, waste, and hazardous materials programs.
• Compile, manage, and analyze environmental data and prepare tables, figures, and reports.
• Support EHS audits and sustainability initiatives, including emissions inventories and regulatory reporting.
