The Work You Will Do: This position is within the Quality Assurance/Standardization subsection of the Division of Water Resource Management’s Onsite Sewage Program. You will work under supervision providing expertise, training, and quality assurance reviews for OSTDS permitting and enforcement statewide.

Pay: $54,000 - $57,000 annually, based on experience.
Responsibilities: Evaluate onsite sewage program implementation, ensure compliance, provide technical assistance, investigate complaints, develop training, serve as instructor, review technical documents, and assist in policy development.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of environmental sciences, soil identification, water table estimation, data analysis, effective communication, work organization, teamwork, report writing, field work, and computer skills.
Qualifications: Valid driver’s license, degree in a related science, two years of related experience or equivalent education/experience, current environmental health certification, ability to travel.
Preferred Qualifications: Certification in onsite sewage programs, permitting and inspection experience, rule interpretation, USDA methodology familiarity, instructional experience.
