Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Environmental professional to support the Turquoise Ridge operation. The role focuses on ensuring the ISO14001:2015 components of our Integrated Management System are suitable and effectively implemented, while overseeing corporate sustainability programs and data collection.

You will lead audits, develop workforce training, and coordinate environmental awareness initiatives, ensuring compliant, safe operations and a sustainable legacy for host communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience with ISO 14001 environmental management systems preferred.
• Strong proficiency with PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, and Excel required.
• 3–5 years in a mining industry setting preferred.
• Experience in environmental compliance programs preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills required.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the ISO14001:2015 Management System for the Cortez District and oversee associated processes.
• Organize, participate in, and/or lead internal and third-party audits of the Environmental management system.
• Develop training and/or communication materials to educate the workforce on Environmental awareness and best practices.
• Deliver Environmental training to the workforce.
• Oversee the collection of monthly sustainability data.
• Assist with field activities, such as area inspections, sample collection, and other manual labor tasks, as required.
• Manage contractor work, as applicable.
• Responsible for periodic, after-hours on-call response to environmental incidents, as needed.
