HLBMA LLC is seeking an Environmental & Sustainability Specialist I in Savannah, GA to support regulatory compliance programs, EMS implementation, and sustainability initiatives. This entry‑level role collaborates with Operations, Engineering, and EH&S teams to identify environmental risks, maintain records, and help drive performance metrics.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field is required.
Environmental Engineering strongly preferred; related fields may be considered.
Relevant internship, co-op, or undergraduate research in environmental compliance or sustainability is preferred.
Candidates with experience in regulatory reporting may be considered even with non-traditional backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Assist with environmental permitting across air, wastewater, storm water, and waste programs.
Support submission of regulatory reports (Tier II, Form R, GHG, SPCC).
Maintain compliance calendars and ensure reporting deadlines.
Prepare documentation for regulatory inspections and audits.
Help implement and maintain the Environmental Management System (EMS) per ISO 14001.
Assist with internal environmental audits and corrective action tracking.
Collect and analyze environmental performance data for reports and dashboards.
