Job summary

City of College Station is seeking an Environmental Compliance & Recycling Manager within the Public Works Department. You will coordinate environmental programs, monitor compliance with regulations, and supervise interns and staff.

Responsibilities include audits, data tracking, recycling program management, and public education. Candidates need a relevant degree and at least three years of experience, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, industrial hygiene, business, public administration or related field.
• Three years of experience in environmental compliance programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication and public speaking.
• Valid Class C driver's license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor environmental programs for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Establish internal audits of records, databases and facilities for regulatory agencies.
• Monitor recycling, waste diversion and solid waste franchises.
• Supervise Public Works Programs & Events Assistant and Public Works Interns.
• Develop schedules for regulatory plans and track renewals and permits.
• Coordinate data collection, logs, policies and reports for compliance.
• Prepare applications and seek awards for divisions within Public Works.
• Develop educational materials to maximize public participation and support
• Manage customer service portal and department website.
