Job summary

The City of Pasadena, CA is seeking a dependable Program Coordinator I to support the Resource Recovery & Recycling Division within the Public Works Department. The role focuses on coordinating environmental programs, data reporting, and public engagement to promote recycling and waste reduction.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate and evaluate programs in the Zero Waste Strategic Plan (Pay As You Throw, composting, business recycling, organics, e-waste, shredding).
• Write and modify recycling programs; develop meeting agendas and budget data.
• Coordinate public meetings, contractors, and data reports for city and agencies.
• Oversee events, staff schedules, permits and site plans.
• Develop grant proposals, monitor compliance, and report performance.
