Job summary

Gfoat's Public Works department is seeking an Environmental Compliance & Recycling Manager to coordinate and monitor environmental programs and regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal agencies.

You will supervise staff, conduct internal audits, manage recycling and waste programs, track permits and reports, and collaborate with divisions to develop compliant policies and training for employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, industrial hygiene, business or public administration or related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in environmental compliance programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and knowledge and experience in public speaking.
• Valid Class C driver's license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor environmental programs and compliance for the Public Works Department.
• Establish internal audits of records, databases, and facilities for regulatory agencies.
• Monitor recycling, waste diversion, and solid waste franchise activities.
• Supervise Public Works Programs & Events Assistant and Public Works Interns.
• Develop and present materials for educational purposes to maximize public participation.
