Job summary

State of Alaska in Alaska's diverse locations is seeking an Environmental Program Specialist 4 to join the Compliance Program. You will supervise staff, conduct APDES facility inspections, and prepare official reports detailing observations, violations, or concerns for the regulated community.

The role requires Alaska residency, frequent travel across the state, and coordination with multiple agencies. Remote work may be available after probation, depending on performance and duties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections at APDES facilities and supervise staff performing similar duties.
  • Develop reports outlining observations, violations, or concerns for the regulated community.
  • Coordinate with the Division of Water and other agencies to achieve goals.
  • Travel across Alaska for inspections throughout the year; frequent statewide travel.
