Job summary

ICF is seeking an Environmental Specialist to support a DoD/MDA program from Fort Greely, Alaska. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, environmental planning, and air permitting, with fieldwork and occasional travel.

You will interact with the client daily, support multiple environmental projects, and contribute to strategy development and mission support across dispersed locations worldwide. Qualified candidates will have a relevant advanced degree or PE certification, strong regulatory

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in environmental engineering or related field with 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or related field with 7+ years relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) with 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Ability to work in the field, outdoors, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen per federal contract requirements.
  • Must possess a DoD Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as a subject matter and regulatory expert on complex technical and programmatic issues related to environmental planning, management, and compliance initiatives.
  • Implementing strategies related to environmental planning, management, and compliance.
  • Supporting multiple concurrent high priority environmental projects.
  • Identifying problems, developing sound solutions, and presenting recommendations to the team for approval and implementation.
  • Conducting air emission calculations and preparing permit applications for the use of generators and boilers in the United States and its territories.
  • Interacting directly with client on a daily basis.
