Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. in Holcomb, KS is seeking an experienced environmental professional to manage an environmental management system and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across one or more sites.

The role supervises programs and personnel, writes compliance plans, develops permits, and implements waste minimization. Under the Area Environmental Manager, you will coordinate with regulators, report on KPIs, lead cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in natural science, environmental science, or engineering.
• 4+ years of environmental experience, or 2+ years with Tyson Foods Environmental Trainee program.
• Food production industry experience is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; basic skills for compliance databases (eCAT, Incident Tracker).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; bilingual a plus.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and project management skills.
• Up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage an environmental management system to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Supervise environmental programs and personnel; write and implement compliance plans.
• Develop and submit permit applications; implement waste minimization programs.
• Ensure on-time reporting of required compliance-based reports; communicate non-compliant issues.
• Collaborate with regulators and management to maintain compliance; drive improvements toward zero exceedances.
