Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or engineering required.
• 4+ years of environmental experience or 2+ years with Tyson Foods Environmental Trainee program; food production experience a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels; bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervises environmental programs and personnel.
• Creates and implements environmental programs.
• Writes compliance plans and tracks KPIs for compliance.
• Develops and submits permit applications.
• Implements waste minimization programs.
• Ensures on-time reporting of all required compliance-based reports.
• Communicates non-compliant issues to management.
• Maintains relationships with regulators at local, state, and federal levels.
• Supports spill response efforts.
• Under Area Environmental Manager, acts as organizer, facilitator, analyst, and problem-solver for environmental compliance.
