Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Gypsum in Sweetwater, TX is seeking an Environmental Technician to promote and support the development, implementation, and management of the facility's environmental compliance programs.

The role helps ensure site compliance with federal EPA and state/local air, wastewater, stormwater, and hazardous waste regulations, and supports integration of the Environmental Management System into the plant's Operational Excellence plan.

Qualifications

• Experience in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage compliance of federal (EPA) and state/local environmental program requirements, including air, wastewater, stormwater, solid and hazardous waste, CERCLA/EPCRA, TSCA, and FCC.
• Support and implementation of the Corporate Environmental Management System and integration into the plant's Operational Excellence Plan.
• Lead environmental incident investigations, mitigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Train facility personnel with respect to environmental regulations.
• Obtain and maintain Method 9 Opacity certification.
