Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Gypsum in Sweetwater, TX is seeking an Environmental Technician to support development and management of the facility’s environmental compliance programs. You will assist in assuring compliance with air, wastewater, stormwater, and hazardous waste regulations while aligning with company policies and the Environmental Performance Standards.

The role involves leading incident investigations, managing reporting to agencies, and training facility personnel on regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with environmental regulations (federal, state, local).
• Experience with emissions calculations is a plus.
• Experience with environmental permitting and related regulations.
• Experience conducting facility audits or inspections to identify improvement areas.
• Experience in project management.

Responsibilities

• Environmental compliance for air, wastewater, stormwater, and hazardous waste.
• Lead investigations, mitigation, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain environmental programs and manage reporting to agencies.
• Coordinate compliance calendars and training.
