Job summary

Reworld Waste, LLC in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Facility Environmental Manager to lead environmental programs across multiple sites. You will develop and execute compliance strategies, coordinate training, and monitor permits to ensure EPA and state requirements are met.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in science or engineering (or 10+ years of relevant experience), strong knowledge of CWA, SPCC, EPCRA, and RCRA, and proven ability to interpret regulations and mitigate compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering or related field; or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Clean Water Act, SPCC, EPCRA, and RCRA.
• 5 years of safety/environmental compliance experience (CWA/CAA/RCRA).
• Ability to interpret environmental regulations and standards.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate worker training on USEPA and state EPA requirements.
• Onboard new employees with safety orientations.
• Investigate and report compliance near-misses and inspections.
• Ensure training on HAZWOPER, DOT Hazardous Materials, SPCC, SWPPP, RCRA.
• Conduct external and internal environmental audits.
• Manage relationships with regulatory authorities.
• Maintain environmental licenses and permits; review reports and non-routine communications.
• Collaborate to complete incident reports and monthly statistics.
