Job summary

Atlas is seeking an Environmental Compliance Manager to join our Redmond, WA team. The successful candidate will support environmental compliance during design and construction for transportation and infrastructure projects, with emphasis on Sound Transit and/or WSDOT, and other Washington public-agency work.

This technical, field-focused role ensures contractor and agency compliance with environmental permits and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, natural resources, or related field.
5+ years of construction-phase environmental compliance experience, preferably on WSDOT/Sound Transit projects.

Responsibilities

Support environmental compliance programs for Sound Transit, WSDOT, and local agencies.
Interpret and implement environmental permits, approvals, and commitments for complex capital projects.
Serve as an environmental point of contact during construction with Sound Transit, WSDOT staff, contractors, and regulators.
Support CEMPs, permit compliance matrices, and environmental commitment tracking systems.
Conduct construction site inspections, environmental compliance monitoring, and staff training.
Prepare compliance documentation, inspection reports, corrective action plans, and agency correspondence.
Mentor junior environmental compliance staff and contribute to QA/QC improvements.
