Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking an Environmental Compliance Manager to oversee LEI NorthAm environmental programs, permitting, and regulatory strategies across facilities. You will lead audits, track permits, and drive performance aligned with ENGIE's strategic objectives.

The role requires a strong background in air and water regulations, waste management, and a collaborative leadership style. Hybrid work is supported with up to 50% travel domestically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Environmental Science/Studies.
• 7+ years in environmental compliance with 5+ years in power generation.
• Expertise in air and effluent water regulations, waste management and spill prevention.

Responsibilities

• Oversee LEI NorthAm compliance programs across facilities and plants.
• Maintain a weekly compliance tracking matrix with alerts and reminders.
• Lead root cause analyses for regulatory deviations and capture lessons learned.
• Produce monthly compliance performance reports and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage site audit programs for permitting and environmental remediation.
• Coordinate with regulators and manage environmental submissions and consultants.
• Advise management on regulatory changes and conduct annual facility visits.
