Job summary

Precision Talent Partners, LLC is seeking an Environmental Staff Engineer for a high-visibility role focused on environmental compliance and management systems across complex manufacturing operations in the Southern Tier, NY. The role blends strategic environmental leadership with hands-on regulatory execution.

You will mentor engineers, shape EMS strategies, and partner with facilities, regulators, and consultants to drive long‑term environmental performance while addressing near‑term needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
• FE credential is required.
• Prefer PE licensure or actively pursuing PE licensure.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental assessments to identify compliance risks and mitigation strategies.
• Serve as SME for ISO 14001 EMS across facilities.
• Monitor regulations and determine impact on operations.
• Advise leadership on compliance strategy and risk.
• Analyze data to identify trends and corrective actions.
• Partner with facilities to achieve environmental performance goals.
• Lead permitting, reporting, audits, and investigations.
• Interface with regulatory agencies as needed.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Provide oversight for remediation projects with consultants.
• Deliver environmental compliance training.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to standards.
