Job summary

GAI Consultants in Cranberry Township is seeking an Environmental Compliance Intern to support the Environmental Compliance Staff under a licensed PE. You will assist with SPCC and PPC plans, air permits, and stormwater projects, gaining exposure to federal and state regulations across PA, OH, WV, and nearby regions.

This entry-level role emphasizes fieldwork and data collection, with direction from senior engineers.

Qualifications

Enrollment in an accredited college or university to obtain a bachelor's degree in Engineering or related.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical reports and procedures, and governmental regulations.

Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and review of SPCC Plans and PPC Plans.
Review air quality permits including Minor Modifications and Major Source Title V.
Review E&S control and stormwater plans for site and linear projects.
Perform field monitoring under supervision on construction projects (E&S, Phase I ESAs).
Prepare periodic reports and applications (field monitoring, reporting, permitting).
Use GPS or GPS-enabled devices to collect data tied to project locations.
Adhere to Health and Safety requirements of GAI and clients.
Maintain QA/QC standards and follow GAI's Quality Management System.
