Job summary

Canacre USA, LLC is seeking an Environmental Compliance Inspector to monitor construction activities for regulatory compliance and permit adherence. You will oversee SWPPP implementation, mitigate environmental risks, and coordinate with contractors and agency inspectors to protect sensitive resources.

The role requires a degree in environmental science, 5+ years in environmental management including SWPPP inspection, and strong knowledge of environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' professional experience in Environmental Management, compliance, SWPPP inspection and mitigation planning
• Minimum 1 year's professional experience in utilities construction industry
• Experience with projects regulated under NEPA or state-equivalents
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permits
• SWPPP/Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) related training or designation (CPESC/CESCL/NYSESCCP)

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities within environmentally sensitive areas
• Inspect construction sites for compliance with permits and project approvals
• Conduct regular inspections to identify environmental hazards and ensure SWPPP compliance
• Oversee mitigation measures for biological, cultural, paleontological resources and restoration requirements
• Coordinate with project staff and government inspectors on regulatory issues
• Document compliance actions and restoration activities in daily reports
• Act as liaison with contractors to ensure adherence to environmental requirements
• Provide guidance on environmental regulations to construction personnel
