Job summary

Canacre is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead projects from planning to completion, coordinating environmental permitting across federal, state, and local agencies. The role emphasizes wetlands, endangered species, and cultural resources, driving compliance and successful approvals.

The candidate will oversee scope, scheduling, budgeting, risk, and client satisfaction while coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to advance projects efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resources, or a related field.
• 10-15 years experience in wetlands, threatened and endangered species, understands cultural resources and how they relate to environmental permitting.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental projects from initiation through completion, ensuring deliverables meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.
• Coordinate internal resources, establish priorities, track milestones, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, reports, recommendations, and solutions.
• Lead recurring client and internal project meetings to communicate progress and decisions.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, forecasts, expenses, and timesheets; identify variances and take corrective actions.
