Job summary

ReGen Monterey is seeking an entry-levelCivil/Environmental Engineer in California to support design, permitting, operation and maintenance of environmental control systems at solid waste facilities and landfills.

The role includes coordinating sampling and reporting, assisting with environmental protection programs, and preparing technical documents under supervision. A valid California driver’s license and an EIT/PE path are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS Office, CAD and general computer software.
• Understanding civil/environmental engineering principles applied to solid waste and landfills.
• Knowledge of permitting processes for solid waste and landfill operations.
• Familiarity with chem/physical characteristics of waste and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for design, permitting, operation and maintenance of environmental control systems.
• Assist with implementation of environmental protection programs and related projects.
• Coordinate sampling, monitoring and reporting for air quality, groundwater, stormwater, leachate and soils.
• Prepare written correspondence, reports, and project documents.
• Assist in investigating site information and conditions for maintenance or capital projects.
• Supervise inspections of industrial waste users for regulatory compliance.
