Job summary

ReGen Monterey seeks a District Engineer & Compliance leader to plan, direct and integrate engineering, compliance, safety and district operations. This role provides oversight of capital projects, permitting, and regulatory programs, while guiding staff and coordinating with the General Manager and Board.

Responsibilities include budget oversight, consultant negotiations, and public reporting. Ten to fifteen years of professional engineering experience and a PE license are expected; Master’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in planning, design, maintenance and construction of public works and facilities.
• Strong in budget development, supervising staff and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and oversee Engineering & Compliance functions and capital improvement projects.
• Manage permitting, regulatory compliance, environmental and safety programs.
• Prepare reports to the Board and manage contracts with consultants and vendors.
• Provide staff leadership, performance development and liaison with HR for actions as needed.
