Job summary

Koch Methanol, a Koch Ag & Energy Solutions company, seeks an Environmental Engineer for our St. James, Louisiana Methanol Facility.

You will manage air, water, and waste compliance programs, develop and implement systems to meet state and federal regulations, and collaborate with Plant Operations and Engineering to ensure obligations are met. This role operates on a 9/80 schedule within a trained EH&S team, with opportunities to lead audits, field sampling, and community engagement while

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Understand and own environmental calculations related to permits, emissions, and releases.
• Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations with experience documenting regulatory applicability determinations, reporting, and field implementation at large facilities.

Responsibilities

• Own compliance programs under the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA and other regulations relevant to Koch Methanol St. James.
• Support site permitting renewals and development projects.
• Partner with site teams to implement Compliance Programs to meet regulations and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate EH&S field sampling and inspections to support current and future EH&S efforts.
• Lead EH&S audit teams, incident investigations, and projects requiring EH&S expertise.
• This position will have support from site and corporate resources.
