Job summary
Eastern Landscape Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on high-profile public sector landscape projects across New Jersey and the New York metro area.
You will manage crews, coordinate logistics, and ensure on-time delivery of large planting and sitework programs. The role requires 10+ years as a superintendent in landscape or site construction, with experience on NJ and NY municipal projects, OSHA 40/SST certification, and proficiency in Bluebeam
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a superintendent in landscape or site construction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead field crews on public landscape construction projects
- Interpret and work from civil and landscape plans, specifications, and contracts
- Coordinate daily schedules and manage short-term lookaheads
- Procure materials and manage vendor buy-outs
- Track labor, materials, and job costs daily to maintain profit goals
- Prepare and submit monthly payment requisitions and assist with collections
- Manage change orders and support project closeout processes
- Finalize quantities and maintain supporting documentation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA/SST and all safety standards
