Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineer to support design teams on small to mid-size projects in California. You will perform calculations, develop designs, and assist senior engineers under supervision. Responsibilities include drafting, 3D modeling, and preparing site observations.

The role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines, adherence to codes, and sustainable design practices. A PE license is preferred and MS Office/AutoCAD proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 5–10 years of related experience.
• Basic knowledge of civil systems, means and methods.
• Ability to interpret sketches and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support design documentation and project plans.
• Develop designs through sketches and models.
• Create 3D models of civil systems.
• Prepare and revise project documentation across phases.
• Coordinate with disciplines to align design intent.
• Review submittals and respond to RFI.
• Assist in evaluating civil systems and materials.
• Participate in project coordination meetings.
• Contribute to value engineering and cost estimation.
