Perma-Fix Environmental Services, Inc. in Florida seeks a Laboratory/Environmental Compliance Lab Technician to perform profile verification sampling of all received mixed waste and assist with lab analyses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 40-hour OSHA Hazwoper certification with 8-hour refresher.
• 16-hour radiation safety training with 4-hour refresher.
• Knowledge of RCRA waste codes and Facility Process Codes
• Strong written and verbal communication; attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Perform profile verification sampling of all received mixed waste at PFF; maintain chain of custody and sampling logs.
• Maintain sampling logs in TOB sample room and ensure proper documentation.
• Verify container integrity and head space per Waste Acceptance Criteria before storage.
• Perform QA/QC on containers to ensure proper labeling and identification.
• Decontaminate sampling equipment and room after each sampling event; maintain a clean work area.
• Liaise with treatment chemists to determine analytical needs and support waste treatment operations.
• Receive and track industrial, hazardous, and/or radioactive waste samples.
• Prepare and analyze samples; assist with ICP/MS, GC/MS, GC/FID, GC/ECD, I.C. and bomb calorimetry instrumentation.
• Document and evaluate analytical procedures; ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
