Job summary

Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking an Environmental Chemist/Hydrologist to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) under the MCC division.

The role involves developing, testing, and applying CBRNE models and delivering analyses and reports to military decision makers. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary Reachback team, perform modeling across the CBRNE spectrum, and may cross-train on multiple models after certification.

Qualifications

• MS in Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Hydrology, or related field (or nearing completion).
• Willing to work rotating shifts to support 24/7/365 operations.
• US Citizen and ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication; teamwork and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex engineering and scientific modeling and analyses.
• Prepare scientific reports and technical assessments for military decision makers.
• Cross-train to provide modeling and information across the CBRNE spectrum.
