Global Systems Engineering LLC is seeking a Junior Chemical Engineer to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Technical Reachback team at Fort Belvoir, VA. The role focuses on analyzing chemical and biological threats, advising on risk mitigation, and supporting emergency responders and DoD partners on-site.

The ideal candidate will hold an MS in Chemical Engineering with 1–3 years of related experience and be eligible for TS clearance with SCI access.

Qualifikationen

• MS in Chemical Engineering
• 1-3 years of related experience
• Eligible for Top Secret clearance with SCI access (current Top Secret clearance preferred)
• Knowledge of DoD and CB RN operations and research applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft 365 suite of products

Aufgaben

• Conduct risk assessments of chemical threats to military teams and advise on actions
• Respond to Requests for Information (RFI) from DoD military and civilian personnel
• Provide professional opinions and advice on risk mitigation of chemical attacks and incidents
• Collaborate with other professional staff to perform duties effectively
• Provide training to DoD military and civilian personnel
• Conduct research and development projects in collaboration with other DTRA Departments
